This tiny car, called a Kenguru, is specially designed for those who use wheelchairs for transportation. It was first founded in Hungary, but has since been spread out world wide as a stunning succes, providing opportunities like never before for people who are wheelchair-ridden.
It runs on a chargeable battery, and, rather like a moped, requires no Gasoline. At full charge, it can go 35 miles (60 kilometers), at the highest of 25 mph (40 km/hr). It sells for $25,000. It counts as a scooter, not car, however, so only requires a scooter driver's license

This is one of the great ideas that were made for PWDs, and it just keeps getting better! Another is that the wheelchair adapted taxi that was recently released in Manhattan. I really appreciate the job of people who create innovations like these -- making the life of physically challenged people better.
It really is amazing how much our modern technology benefits those who are medically/physically disadvantaged. I've never heard of the wheelchair adapted taxi - it's really great that it's becoming available in public service!
I also really admire the dedication that people like the creator of the Kenguru put into such projects. It makes a huge difference to so many people.
