Cycle-skates of the 1920's



A spin-off of roller skates, Cycle-skates were literally mini bicycle tires attached from the knee down, apparently originating in Paris (or so the video says). While they seem to be a bit smoother and more agile than roller blades, they died out relatively quickly, presumably because of how high-risk they were.
